Disney Port Orleans French Quarter vs. Riverside Resort

We are very fortunate to be able to visit Walt Disney World (WDW) quite often due to its close proximity to us. We usually look for the best hotel deals for our WDW trips and have occasionally been able to find some good deals for the WDW resorts. We have some off Disney favorites such as Hilton Lake Buena Vista and Hilton Lake Buena Vista Palace where you can walk to Disney Springs across the street. And we have some WDW resort favorites such as Pop Century, Port Orleans French Quarter and Riverside. There are endless hotel options around WDW and in Orlando in general for any budget!

In the past few months, we have spent 3 days 2 nights at both the Port Orleans French Quarter and Riverside resorts. Overall, we enjoyed both of the resorts but, if we were to pick one our first choice would be the French Quarter. We would recommend getting preferred room in either resort as it will be closer to the main areas, especially if you plan to stay at Riverside as it is quite expansive.

We particularly enjoyed the New Orleans theme and the big pool at the French Quarter with the sea dragon slide that kept the kids and adults entertained as well as the adjacent splash park with our son. The close proximity to the main areas of this resort is a huge plus.
