Planning a Spring Break Cruise

As we all know, spring break is an extremely popular time to travel & cruise as the kids are out of school and weather is not too hot or too cold.  If you are first time cruiser, we highly recommend reading the Cruising Vacation Basics post to acclimatize yourself with the cruise booking basics.

Tip: The early bird does get the worm when it comes to booking cruise vacations as you can get better deals and pick your preferred cabin type & location.  We highly recommend booking at least 6 months in advance and especially recommend booking your next cruise while on your cruise vacation to get the best deal with minimum deposit requirements!

Planning you cruise can feel like a daunting task as there are tons of choices from a long weekend booze cruise to month long itinerary on a luxurious river cruise in the Mediterranean. Therefore, we have selected a few recommendations for the upcoming spring break season.  We would highly recommend the Royal Caribbean Oasis Class ships (Oasis, Allure & Harmony of the Seas) for the first time cruisers as they are the biggest and provide the most activities.  They also have various neighborhoods such as Central Park, Boardwalk, Promenade etc. to explore and keep the entire family entertained.  Our second choice would be Carnival for the best value and third would be Norwegian for the freestyle cruising.  The prices will vary significantly based on the ship and cabin category you select for your family.

Eastern Caribbean Itinerary Cruises – Please note that the eastern Caribbean region was impacted significantly by Hurricanes Irma & Maria and the impacted islands are currently in a rebuild phase.  The cruise lines have made changes to their itineraries during this phase therefore, we highly recommend that you research port/island availability prior to booking your cruise especially for any 2017 cruises.
